This Poster was pasted publicly in Boston in 1851 warning of the dangers Boston Police acting as Slave Catchers posed to all people of color. From their inception, the first police force in the nation has explicitly and covertly been at war with and occupying communities of color.
The full text reads: “Caution!! Therfore, if you value your LIBERTY amd the welfare of the fugitives among you, shun them in every possible manner, as so many HOUNDS on the track of the most unfortunate of your race.
